About The Competition

The Carmel Arts Council is running a digital art competition for Carmel students. Students who enter have the chance to be named a "Carmel Student Artist," and showcase their art in the Children's Art Gallery. 

September Theme: Animals and/or Flowers

As we celebrate spring and all that happens in nature at this time, we invite you to create a piece that captures animals or flowers or both! 
 

Prizes:

Named a Carmel Student Artist

Art displayed in Midtown Carmel

Art displayed in the Children's Art Gallery 
Cash prizes 

Certificates and ribbons and more!

 

Guidelines:

Must be 5 - 18 years of age by September 1, 2026. Students will be judged in different categories based on age at time of submission. Any medium of art (including 3D is welcome)

Submissions will be accepted from February 1 - March 31, 2026

Winners will be announced in April

Gallery Exhibit will run from May 1 - June 30, 2026.


Students can make up to 3 submissions. 

How to Submit:

Submissions are digital (meaning you can simply take a picture). While we prefer submissions through the free Memby app, first submissions can be made in one of three ways so we can help get you started!

Email the picture, child's first name, and child's age to carmelartscouncil@gmail.com

Text the picture, child's first name, and child's age to carmelartscouncil@gmail.com
3. Download and submit via the free Memby app. 
 

How to Submit via the Memby App:

Carmel Arts Council powers this digital program through the Mmeby Software, a system being built by a local Carmel, Indiana mom. Join our app program for more art classes and opportunities only available there.

3. In onboarding, add your child/children's first name (s) and birthdate (s) in the onboardingfor accurate judging.

4. The submission form for each child will appear under their name. Click on the avatar in upper right corner to switch between kids!

The Children’s Art Gallery in Carmel, Indiana, holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest children's art gallery, making it a truly unique and special place! Despite its small size, the gallery is a big celebration of young artistic talent, offering children the opportunity to showcase their artwork in a professional and inspiring setting.
