About The Competition
The Carmel Arts Council is running a digital art competition for Carmel students. Students who enter have the chance to be named a "Carmel Student Artist," and showcase their art in the Children's Art Gallery.
Theme: Fashion
Design an outfit, create an outfit, draw a runway, or more! Bring what fashion means to you to life.
Prizes:
Named a Carmel Student Artist
Art displayed in Midtown Carmel
Art displayed in the Children's Art Gallery
Certificates and ribbons and more!
Guidelines:
Must be 5 - 18 years of age by September 1, 2026. Students will be judged in different categories based on age at the time of submission. Any medium of art (including 3D is welcome)
Submissions will be accepted from April 1to May 31, 2026
Winners will be announced in July
Gallery Exhibit will run from July to August, 2026.
Students can make up to 3 submissions.
How to Submit:
Submissions are digital (meaning you can simply take a picture). While we prefer submissions through the free Memby app, first submissions can be made in one of three ways so we can help get you started!
1. Email a photo of the creation with child's first name and child's age to carmelartscouncil@gmail.com.
2. Text the picture, child's first name, and child's age to 917-975-2272.
2026 Deadlines and Themes:
Fashion and Characters (submissions April 1 - May 31)
Magical or Once Upon a Time (submissions Aug 1 - Sept 30)
On a Snowy, Snowy Night (submissions Oct 1 - Nov 31)
